Is an early treatise enough for a banking question?

No. It sets out the principles, and they hold, but it says nothing about an insurance contract or a structured banking product. For a practical question on a present-day arrangement, take a recent work or a fatwa collection, reasoning by analogy from those principles.

Are there works on riba alone?

Yes, devoted to that subject alone, with the distinction between its two classical forms and an examination of present-day structures. It is the most requested part of this shelf, and the one where the year of publication matters most.

Is online trade covered?

In the recent works and the fatwa collections, yes: distance selling, deferred payment, dropshipping, intermediary commissions, late-payment penalties. Describe the arrangement you are dealing with and we will point to the titles that actually treat it.

How much do the classical chapters matter?

They remain the foundation: the conditions of a valid sale, defects of consent, the prohibitions, the rules of partnership and of lending. Present-day arrangements are judged with those categories, so skipping them makes the contemporary works hard to follow. Take both layers.

Are there works on companies?

Yes, on the forms of partnership and their conditions, which is useful if you are setting up a business with others. Some recent titles also treat contemporary legal forms and the sharing of profit and loss.
